Backyard Cleanup

After two months of no yard work my family decided that it was time to do some outdoor cleaning. Our bannana trees had been sabotaged by the tropical storm to the extent that we had to cut them down. Our grass was overgrown which gave dad the job of mowing. The garden had tons of weeds in it. Mom got that job. My brothers and I had to drag cut branches out to the curb. But finally, after all that hard work ,it was finished. The end result was pretty good, too.

Clear of Tropical Storm Fay

Our area is FINALLY clear of tropical storm Fay. This morning my family saw the sun -and blue sky for the first time in four days! It turns out we were very lucky. Some areas of Florida got over two feet of rain. Needless to say, they got flooded. I even saw a picture of someone wakeboarding down the road! I have attached some more pictures of us playing during Fay.

An Update on Fay

Our area is now hovering on the west edge of Fay's eye. My Dad and I went jogging in the eye today. It was very humid! The difference in temperature is surposed to be between 77 and 81. Volusia county is still out of school. The superintendant is planning to let us go back to school tomorrow. I have attached pictures of

my friend Nikki , Alexander and I playing in the rain.
